Many lodgers praised the hotel's location. They described it as easy to find, and close to attractions, Colonial Williamsburg, restaurants, shopping, Busch Gardens, Richmond Road, William & Mary Law School and Virginia Beach.
Numerous guests were pleased with the level of customer service they received, and characterized the staff as efficient, friendly, professional and helpful.
The hotel's breakfast was the source of many compliments by reviewers. They described it as excellent, fresh and delicious, with a wide variety of hot and cold items and friendly staff. Some guests did find the location of the breakfast (in an adjacent building) to be someone inconvenient, however.
Several lodgers were pleased with the hotel's accommodations. They described their rooms as clean, spacious, quiet and well decorated, with comfortable beds. It should be mentioned, however, that some reviewers had complaints about their rooms (see below).
