"The heating system was a little noisy and the bathroom needs a few more places to hang things since there is no vanity. We got stuck in a smoking room, but the room itself was fine. Enjoyed breakfast in the Regency Room Sun a.m. Our daughter, who was with us, is attending a wedding there in July. We thought the ballrooms looked lovely. It is nice that the hotel is convenient to everything downtown."

"Just two comments ... both little items, but since you asked ... 1. The A/C makes too much noise cycling on and off. I can sleep steadily if the A/C remains on all night, or if it remains off all night. But it woke me each time it cycled on and off. No big deal ... maybe I'm just too light a sleeper. 2. I guess it was the bell captain's luggage cart ... something has a squeaky wheel (I know you think I am one myself) and I heard it squeaking up and down the corridor several times during the night. It's just a little thing, but when the little things are taken care of .... My wife and I enjoyed staying at the Roanoke Hotel and will stay there again when next we return to Virginia."
