"Only one complaint, the closet doors were off their track and I could not get them back on and they were a bit irritating. Not irritating enough to take time to complain at the front desk though. I had better things to do with my time."

"I was under the impression the hotel was still located on West Temple Street in Salt Lake City when I made the reservation. When I went to check in, I realized that location is now the Salt Lake Hilton! I was disappointed with the new location of the salt Lake Red Loin, but I was willing to give it a try. I had expensive reservations ($168.00) for a special occasion with myt wife. However, when we checked in we were very disappointed with the hotel. The carpets behind the check-in desk were filthy. The lobby was average at best. The elevator was dirty, and smelly. The halls were dark, and drab. When we got to our $168.00 room, it was no better then a basic Best Western room, and it was supposed to be a "Non-smoking" room, but it reeked of cigarett smoke! I made one call from the room to the Salt Lake Marriott, and got a beautiful, clean, comfortable room on the 14th floor, which did not smell like smoke, with a gorgeous view, in an excellent downtown location, for $99.00! I then immediately checked back out of the Red Lion, never to return. I will say, the young lady at the counter was courteous, and appologetic when I returned the key to the room and checked back out. I'm sorry to say, this hotel does not come close to the previous Salt Lake Red Lion. I got a MUCH BETTER room at the Marriott, for $78.00 less."
