The hotel's location was praised by many reviewers. They described it as downtown and close to restaurants, Bank of America Stadium, museums, restaurants, Charlotte Convention Center and Johnson and Wales University.
Numerous guests enjoyed the hotel's free breakfast, describing it as terrific, wonderful and fresh, with large variety of hot and cold items. One patron noted, "Breakfast was excellent. Great variety. I don't think you could get much better unless you had a made to order option".
Several lodgers were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They found their rooms to be clean, spacious, quiet and well equipped, with comfortable beds. A few guests had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).
