They offer a pretty nice breakfast (some whole grain cereals and bagels/bread would make it better, but the cinnamon rolls are to die for). However, it ended at 9:30 on Sunday. We were lucky enough to be allowed some, not all, of the food choices, but a family with six young children showed up at 9:35 and could not eat because things were put away very quickly. The older gentleman who stands right at the breakfast bar to monitor it (other places do not do this and survive quite well . . . he even makes me uncomfortable, and I am not someone who is easily intimidated) would not allow them to eat. Others and ourselves felt that it would have, at the very least, been a good business move to feed the kids. We were all sympathetic to the family. This affected the family's travel budget, we are sure. I suggested to the young woman putting things away that, especially on weekends, they should offer breakfast to 10 or 11. She told me that it takes 3 hours to clean up (Looking around, that did not seem quite accurate. It took her @20minutes to put the food away. People bus their own tables.) Then I said that would bring them to 2PM. "We begin checkins then," she replied. Also, the elevator had heavy dust marks next to the back wall and door frame, and they were missed again though someone was vacuuming as I watched. Room was clean enough, and there were lots of towels. All appliances worked. Finally, I was told (before the breakfast scenario) to go to the post office for a stamp since they had none on site. They should know that I took the time to stop and climb the post office steps (I have bad arthritis), and it is locked on a Sunday. Had to mail my little grandson's postcard from home. Hotels on Mackinac Island will even meter mail for you and include it as part of the service.

Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast bar. Pool is a good feature especially if you travel with kids. Staff on front desk were very courteous.
