"I had to telephone twice from our hotel room about the Continental Breakfast, once just after we arrived (I was told in that conversation that "tokens" would be put under our door.) and again the next morning, when, after we went to breakfast and were told by the waitress that we could order Continental Breakfast, but without a card -- we had no tokens -- we would have to pay. I then went back upstairs and telephoned your front office and was told that cards or coupons would be delivered immediately, and they soon were. When we went back to the restaurant, I offered the two blue cards, and I was told by the waitress that one card would be good for both of us, and to use the other the next morning. A little bit like Faulty Towers, we thought. The food in the Treaty of 1783 was excellent (we had dinner there the first evening, and the two mornings' Continental Breakfast); the bar atmosphere very nice (second evening); and our waiter Frank was superb, and the young bartender very good. Valet car service persons: very good. I saw by the permits in the front window downstairs (out on the porch) that work on the building is in progress. The work was behind the scenes, however, and did not intrude on us. So: if we return to Annapolis, we know the ropes and will book in again with them."
