Many lodgers praised the hotel's location, describing it as central and close to the Farmer's Market, restaurants, the Riverwalk, bars, the Civic Center and the East Village. One patron remarked, "Location was perfect. Restaurants, bars, Riverwalk, Wells Fargo Arena all very close. We walked everywhere we wanted to go".
The hotel's staff were complimented by numerous guests, who characterized them as friendly, helpful, attentive and efficient. One traveller noted, "The staff is beyond compare, from front desk, housekeeping, & Club Lounge attendants to wonderful general manager".
