Many guests praised the hotel's staff, characterizing them as efficient, friendly and helpful with recommendations. One patron remarked, "But what stood out the most was the service. Everybody we dealt with was over-the-top pleasant and helpful. They made an extremely stressful situation almost stress-free".
The hotel's location was enjoyed by numerous reviewers. They found it close to shopping, restaurants, the beach, downtown Honolulu, public transit, the Hawaii Convention Center and a convenience store.
