The hotel's staff were the source of many compliments by reviewers, who found them to be friendly, knowledgeable about the area, efficient, accommodating and helpful with dining recommendations. One traveller noted, "All the staff were courteous, polite, caring and nothing was too much trouble".
Numerous lodgers praised their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, spacious and well equipped, with comfortable beds and pillows, efficient air conditioning and good water pressure. A few patrons did complain of musty odours in their rooms, however.
