The GoodMany guests appreciated this property's location. They found the proximity to the American Airlines Arena, the Bayfront Marketplace and South Beach very convenient. They also liked the variety of restaurants in the area.
The cleanliness and comfort of the guest rooms were mentioned by numerous customers. They described the rooms as spacious and airy. Some commented on the beautiful waterfront views.
The staff were found to be friendly and extremely eager to please by most reviewers.
Travelers making connections to Caribbean cruises departing from Fort Lauderdale enjoyed overnight stays at this hotel. Most experienced a good night's sleep in preparation for the next leg of their trip.
The Bad
A few guests commented that they were not allowed to check in early and that their rooms were not completely clean when they arrived.
Some guests took issue with the condition of the bathrooms, including low water pressure in showers and leaky fixtures.
Many visitors found the charges for amenities to be unreasonable. Inconsistent Wi-Fi charges, $35 for valet parking ($9 as of Jan. 1, 2014, as noted above) and fees for the fitness center were just some mentioned. They also felt there were too many opportunities that called for tipping more than one person for a service that could have been performed by a single individual.
Quite a few reviewers would have preferred refrigerators in the guest rooms instead of the mini-bar.
