"I felt did not feel safe staying in this hotel, my iron did not work, the heater did not work, I had a cricket chirping in my room the entire time, the TV had terrible reception.. On the positive side the front desk person was very nice and continental breakfast was good."

"The photos on the web site were misleading at best. Certainly the photo of the pool was nice. However, we waited sometime for the airport shuttle (the van was dirty and the interior torn)and when we arrived the hotel looked very run-down. I was very disappointed. So much so that, before we even checked in I told my son "We aren't staying here both nights." As I checked in I asked the front desk clerk (female) "How can I change our reservation?" She informed me that no changes could be made since I reserved it over the internet. The facitity needs painting. Our room was dingy and hot. The bathroom floor had hairs, dirt, ants and spiders. The towels had holes. I was so disappointed that I called a cab and left for another hotel. I realize that I am being charged on my Visa for two nights but it simply wasn't "livable". Since the desk clerk said "There's no way to cancel your reservation" we simply went somewhere else. Because I would be spending one night alone and the room was so far from the front desk I didn't feel safe remaining. I wish I didn't have to pay for the room. I wish I could have said "This is not was it seemed on the web site." But, I was told there was nothing I could do; except, let you know how disappointed I was and that I (most likely) will never use this service again. Several people have already asked me how the hotel was - I told them the truth "I didn't like it. You make a purchase based on photos and a rating system, but you don't really know what it's like until you arrive, and then you can't anything to change it." I am very disappointed."

"When we reserved this hotel, our confirmation stated that it had a fridge & microwave & queen size beds. When we got to our room, it was a standard double with no fridge or microwave. We asked the front desk about it & they said they are by request only & none were available. We felt like we paid a premium price for a bakersfield hotel & didn't get what we paid for."
