Numerous guests were pleased with the hotel's location. They described it as easy to find, and close to the airport, downtown Birmingham, attractions, the highway, restaurants, shopping, Samford University, Mountain Brook Shopping Village and UAB Children's Hospital.
The hotel's staff were the source of many compliments by reviewers, who characterized them as efficient, friendly, helpful and professional. One guest remarked, "While this Hampton is very clean and comfortable, what really stands out is the level of customer service. From check-in to check-out, everyone seems happy to be there and dedicated to helping the guests".
