"Unfortunately, I found our room to be dirty. Superficially, the towels were clean and the linen was clean but the carpeting around the walls was grungy and dirty and had obviously not been properly vacumed for a long time. If you looked closely the walls and shower stall and even the toilet role holders were not clean. The bed frames were grimey and dirty and this grime was exposed so that I could see this quite obviously. The padding on the beds were lumpy and the sheets were not large enough to be properly tucked in, in order to keep the pads in place. The pillows were shapeless, lumpy and uncomfortable. We checked out of the Days Inn early and checked into the Holiday Inn where we gladly paid only an extra $28.00 a night for absolute luxury and, most importantly to me and my husband, cleanliness. We travel a great deal and true cleanliness in a hotel room is of utmost importance to us. I do not mind an old or modest Inn/hotel/motel but I want to know and see that great care has been taken in cleaning the rooms and the rest of the hotel in general. An old or modest hotel can still demonstrate pride of ownership and respect of their guests by ensuring cleanliness. We had been looking forward to our visit and we were uncomfortable and disappointed. I would never return to a Days Inn again because of the this experience. Sincerely....."
