"I believe the staff tried very hard to be helpful. On Wednesday evening they had a free buffet in the lobby. It was a very special extra touch of class. My disappointment centered on a the advertised availability of high speed internet. I spent over an hour researching accomodations, specifically looking for a hotel with high speed internet because I needed it for my job (I am a computer systems engineer). I discovered that they had just added a wireless internet system. As I was checking in, another patron (also a computer engineer) stopped by the front dest to inform them that he was not able to connect to the system. When I tried, I was able to get connected initially, but the signal strength was so low that my computer was not able to maintain a reliable connection. It was less serviceable than a phone dial-in connection which is slow, but at least stays connected to the system. I reported the problem to the manager when I left and it is possible that they could add additional access points to provide better performance by the time someone else visits this hotel."
