"Not enough lighting in the rooms - very dark. Our supplies of toiletries were not maintained. I had to go to the desk to get toilet paper, tissue paper, etc. even after housekeeping had cleaned the room. We spent $1,000 for two rooms over a period of 4 days. The room my parents were in had a smoke detector alarm go off in the middle of the night. The desk clerk was very nice, but she did not know how to disable the alarm. She called 3 different people from my parent's room and none of them knew how to shut the alarm off. It was obvious that she was there alone with no one to help her. They didn't even have a ladder to get to the alarm. I had to hold a chair on the bed while my son climbed on it to unscrew the alarm and get it to shut off. This all took about 20 minutes, because the help that the desk clerk called didn't know how to disable it. The next day a repairman came to fix the alarm and my parents were nicely rushed out of the room upon check out, because he had two other hotels to go to. I would have expected more than a $15 discount on that room - especially when my son was the one who had to figure out the alarm system. Afterall, we did spend $1,000. Otherwise the stay was nice and close to the military base which is where we needed to be. The breakfast was top-notch."
