"I would recommend this hotel but with this caveat: the room had a bit of a musty smell (but that's typical Florida), the a/c was louder than I like (I'm a very light sleeper), elevator was nasty (we had bags to take up three flights). This offers an inexpensive place to sleep. Lots of reasonably priced eateries nearby (NOT the overpriced breakfast buffet at IHOP... gheeshe!!). Staff members were extra nice."

"We arrived on an unusually cold night in January. The heater toastily warmed the room which we were grateful for. The only complaint was the front door sticking so as not to let us in in the few seconds you get when you slide in the key card. It was very frustrating! Otherwise, we will return in June or July!"

"Worst hotel accomodations I have ever had. I guess for the price that's what you get, but I was not shopping for price. I was only there because of the availability at the time I needed a room, and proximity to another person's hotel I was meeting. The electrical plugs did not work for hairdryer, lamps, which is dangerous and I'm sure a safety violation; coffee pot did not work; previous guests dirty old sock was under one of the beds at the edge; smelled with awful air freshener that was probably worse than what was trying to be covered up! Will NEVER stay at a Howard Johnson's AGAIN! You should refund the amout you charged and pay ME to haave stayed there! I couldn't get out of there fast enough!! Thank goodness I only needed one night, although I would have liked to have extended an additional night."

"Our first room had roaches in it. We saw 6 of the bugs in one night. The staff moved us to another room, where we didn't see any roaches, however there were ants. The tub was nasty and some areas were rusty. We will not stay there again."
