"We were down there for a trail race and were hoping for continental breakfast to begin earlier than 7:30. We noticed several people leaving at 6 am when we did and honestly, often that's when people want the coffee and something small to eat. The in room coffee makers were nice though! We asked for late check out as well but were denied."

"I stayed in quiet a few hotels this past year. I either chose Mariott or Best Western. I was extremely supriced by the differences in the quality variance from one Best Western to the next. The lack of consistancy is a major concearn of mine. For instance the BW in Santa Barbra ...was very nice....Morro Bay was ok. and Santa Cruz was barely acceptqble. I just got back from Carlsbad New Mexico....where I had to tell the Stevens in BW that the room was unacceptqable. than went to annothe not so nice..but acceptable room. I would advice you to have secret travelers to notifie corperate of the conditions. It would be a job that I'm certain you could feel easily. BW claims to be the Biggest hotel chain. Biggest is not always best. I live in Texas where Big is good. The bottum line is......I am reluctant to book another (guess?) room."
