"Just my opinion, but considering the town this is in and the age of the hotel, it is not a very good value. I have stayed in better hotels for less in what I thought were more expensive locations. For example, this is one of those hotels where there is a little mildew in the bathroom, the shower is pieced together out of parts (not necessarily bathroom parts), there is no iron or coffee maker, the coffee in the lobby is worse than any office coffee I've tasted, and the toilet paper is thin and cheap. However, this must be a popular area, because often hotel rooms are unavailable on short notice and this hotel has been available when I needed it. The rooms themselves are relatively clean with comfortable furniture and a fridge and microwave, if you could use them. The king size bed room I had one weekend was very large but not well decorated (no focal point, furniture arrangement strange). The queen size bed room was cozier, more professionally decorated and arranged with a nice recliner -- although I had no idea queen size beds were so small! There are very few good restaurants in the area unless you like really standard selections (like steak, bbq chicken, appetizers -- pepper poppers, cheese sticks -- no challenge, home type cooking). The one excellent restaurant is Licano's Mexican food and steak house, which you could walk to just across the street. My husband and I ate there every night."
