The hotel's location was praised by many guests, who described it as safe, and close to shopping, restaurants, Paulista and public transit. One reviewer remarked, "The Renaissance is in an excellent location, at the entrance to the lovely and safe Jardins neighborhood, where you can walk comfortably at any hour and find dozens of very fine shops, galleries and restaurants just as in London, New York or any other sophisticated international city".
Numerous reviewers complimented the hotel's staff, characterizing them as helpful, friendly, bilingual and accommodating. One guest noted, "The hotel management is to be commended for the consistency of exceptional customer service across the board. I was also pleasantly surprised at the amount of English spoken by ALL of the staff".
