"I stayed here for Carneval.... I found a room here at the last minute on the net for around $55 usd. Though it wasn't great, it was clean and safe, and quiet, and the staff was helpful. The location was not ideal in that Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon were approximately forty-five minutes away by bus, but the hotel was very close (five blocks and a safe walk) to the actual Carneval grandstands, which was nice. Overall, considering I booked the trip last second, I feel I got a good deal but wouldn't stay there at any other time of the year considering I could do equally well or better price wise at a hotel like The Vermont in central Ipanema, which has nicer rooms in much better locale (I stayed there for a night after Carneval ended)."
