"After taking pains to book the Rivoli Ramblas--a hotel I had longed wanted to stay at during my trips to Barcelona because of its reputation and location--I was not given the opportunity to stay here. Upon arrival I was told that while I had a guaranteed reservation at the Rivoli Ramblas, I would instead be staying at the Ambassador Hotel, a sister facility. My partner and I were shunted off to a side street about one and one-half blocks from the Ramblas. While the Ambassador was fine, it was not what we wanted. The Rivoli staff were uncooperative and rude when we tried to discuss the situation. Under no circumstances would I recommend booking the Rivoli Hotels because of this unsatisfactory experience."
