"This hotel is hard to describe. It has a wonderful location right down in the heart of old city Prague. It is located where the daily market is meaning it would be difficult to find if the taxi driver didn't know where it was located. On the street it is only a door with an awning with Prague Golden Age. One must knock to get in or until checking in and getting a key for the door. It would probably be a great place for young energetic travelers with a backpack but for seniors over 75 who are expected to climb 4 flights of sharply climbing stairs to the one room at the top floor it was taxing to say the least. We had been traveling for over 3 weeks and 2 medium suitcases that I don't think we could have carried up those stairs. They were nice enough to carry them up for us but thank goodness we asked if someone would be there at 7AM to bring the bags down because there wasn't and they brought the bags down the night before. They were very helpful and pleasant and a lady even got up early to fix us a breakfast before we left. The bathroom had been re-done and was very nice except for a terrible sewer odor coming from the shower drain. This is an ancient hotel and they have tried very hard to make it nice. I don't want to sound like an ugly American because I think some would find it charming and inexpensive which it certainly is but it should be used by younger people. I would recommend this hotel to some."
