"The hotel and beach were exactly like the pictures. Gorgeous!!However, there are no microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms. You must eat all meals out. This is a remote area with nice, expensive hotels in the area. Eating was expensive. New Years Eve we tried the Chef Binni's restaurant in the hotel. They were only serving a fixed meal with a choice of bass or tenderloin. It was very over priced. We ordered the tenderloin and had to send one meal back because it was raw. I noticed other customers sent their meals back to the kitchen, too. The meat was not tender or tasteful. We actually had a better meal from a buffet on the beach. I tried to e-mail, fax, and phone the hotel before our arrival to make sure our reservation was in order. I didn't get any replies. Our reservations were made six months in advance. When we arrived they did not have our reservation. We arrived on a Sunday and the reservations department wasn't open. However, they gave us a lovely room, and the next day our reservation was found. We felt uneasy and concerned until we were able to clear up the problem. We called Hotels-123.com, and they assured us that the hotel received our reservation. Huatulco is gorgeous. The sky was always blue without any clouds. At night the sky was so full of stars I couldn't even find the big dipper."
