"This hotel is undergoing major renovation. The first room we were put in was AWFUL!!!! They rectified the situation quickly, but it cost quite a lot more money to obtain a significantly better room. The facilities were good and paying the extra money meant access to the "Royal Club" which meant free continental breakfast and snacks and tea. Lovely! The breakfast room downstairs was disorganized and the food not too good so either order room service (for less or the same money as the restaurants and much better!) or stick with the continental breakfast in the Royal club concierge lounge area. We ordered dinner from room service once and ordered off their special Lebanese menu and it was FANTASTIC! All in all, a very nice hotel but costs some money to access a better room. Our 1 bedroom suite was on the 7th floor with a lovely tree-top view of Hyde Park and was very comfortable. A great place to rest up after a very busy day of sight seeing."
