"Yes, although the amenities and location of the hotel were good, the service and customer care were abysmal The cleaning staff inadvertently took a nightdress when changing the bed linen. The staff in the hotel failed to offer a replacement or to make reasonable attempts to return the item prior to my departure. They gave me no progress on attempting to resolve the problem.When on my departure I asked for compensation for the inconvenience and loss of an item of clothing, the reception staff refused saying that I would have to send in a receipt for the nightdress! The cleaning staff also damaged my clock by knocking it on the floor and losing the battery. Once again, no compensation was payable. The shower tap was not particularly easy to adjust and as the water was very hot, it is likely that someone very soon will make a personal injury claim. I am going to be writing to the director of the hotel about my experiences as there were no senior members of staff at the hotel to deal with my complaint when I paid my bill. I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to pass on this feedback to you."
