The GoodThe majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with praise going to the hotel's location, rooms and staff.
The hotel's location was praised by many lodgers, who described it as central and close to public transit, Victoria Harbour, Chung King Mansion, restaurants, shopping, museums and the ferry terminal. One patron noted "The location is in a great part of Kowloon. There are many great restaurants and shopping in the area. The MTR (train) is about 5-10 minute walk and the best way to get around HK. You can buy an Octopus (train) card at the airport and saves lining up to buy a ticket for every trip".
Numerous reviewers were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They found their rooms to be clean, spacious, well equipped and quiet, with great harbour views, comfortable beds and good water pressure. One guest remarked, "The rooms are modern and a good size for HK (I've stayed at more expensive hotels that you could barely walk around the bed). There is a large flat screen TV, a good size desk and I found the recent addition of a coffee pod/capsule machine a big bonus! I don't mind the firm beds that are common in Asia and love the big fluffy pillows".
Several travellers were pleased with the level of customer service they received during their stay. They characterized the staff as friendly, well trained, attentive and professional. A few guests did complain about the check-in service, however (see below).
The Bad
While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few common complaints about the Wi-Fi and check-in service.
Several lodgers were disappointed with the lack of free in-room Wi-Fi at the hotel. They felt it was too expensive and should have been included in the room rates.
Although the majority of reviewers were pleased with the level of customer service they received during their stay, some travellers were disappointed with check-in service. They reported it taking too long (sometimes up to 30 minutes), which they found inconvenient after travelling.
