Many guests praised the hotel's location, describing it as safe, and close to public transit, shopping, restaurants, Nanjing Road, The Bund and various other local attractions. One lodger remarked, "The location of this hotel is very good if you plan to spend your time walking around The Bund, Nanjing road, and the old city".
Numerous reviewers were pleased with the hotel's accommodations. They described their rooms as spacious, clean, modern, quiet and well equipped, with amazing city or river views and comfortable beds and linens. Some guests did describe the carpets as worn and dirty, however.
The hotel's rates were complimented by several lodgers. They described them as excellent, affordable, great and inexpensive.
Several guests also praised the staff, characterizing them as helpful, friendly, efficient and bilingual. A few patrons were disappointed with the level of customer service they received, however (see below).
The Bad
