Numerous reviewers praised the hotel's staff and characterized them as friendly, attentive, accommodating and efficient. One guest noted, "I have stayed there before but this was the best stay ever, due to the attentiveness, patience, and helpfulness of the staff - doormen, concierges, front desk, restaurant, everyone with whom I had the pleasure of interacting".
The hotel's location was enjoyed by many lodgers. They found it close to public transit, shopping, restaurants, Boston Common, Newbury St., Fenway Park, Boston College and the Old Town Trolley.
