Several lodgers were satisfied with the hotel's room rates, describing them as excellent, reasonable, great and outstanding, especially considering its location. It should be noted, however, that some guests found the additional costs associated with staying at the hotel to be expensive (see below for more details).

Family Friendly
"Great place for families with kids. Pool area outstanding. Lobby a kid-friendly place to hang out. Very helpful staff."

"Noisy during the early hours due to international vacation guests checking in/out with kids running up and down the corridors. Pool was wonderful, but the Spa looked really grimy (bordering on health hazard)! Having read some previous negative reviews we were pleasantly surprised and would stay again."
Jennie from Port Charlotte, FL AS rated Wyndham Lake Buena Vista 8 out of 10 on July 30, 2006
"Hotel was in general o.k, not too fancy/special, however, the transport to the Disney Parks can be improved. The wait time seemed to be too long, and the pick-up at Epcot was not good (especially at night, after fireworks), because we were standing in the meiddle of a bus parking between arriving and departing busses. Not a safe feeling!! Better at MGM! Maybe a better explanation which bus number and were it leaves at the parks would also help."
Dietr from Leverkusen, DE rated Wyndham Lake Buena Vista 8 out of 10 on July 01, 2006
"Only inconvenience is bus shuttle to & from parks. Because Groversnor is last stop. When I stayed at the Grovesnor several months ago they had their own shuttle which went directly to parks & directly back to Groversnor which was much more convenient. Otherwise you can't beat the price, accommodations, staff for the money."
Karen from Fort Myers, FL US rated Wyndham Lake Buena Vista 9 out of 10 on June 02, 2006
"We are members of the Disney Club and have stayed at numerous locations in the Orlando area. We find this hotel as the least value of the many places we have stayed in the general area. The best value as far as we were concerned was the breakfast was included in the price. For a room in the $150 per night range this was the smallest room with the least number of in room perks. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful but the room itself very disappointing. We viewed the interior decor of the room as out dated."

"Rooms are average. Common areas of hotel are very nice."
Douglas from Lutz, FL US rated Wyndham Lake Buena Vista 8 out of 10 on April 16, 2006
"They should make the rooms next to the elevator much cheaper as they are quite noisy and disruptive. Also they should make the guest aware that the room is by the elevator."

"The shuttle service to the Disney Parks could use a lot of improvement"

"Although this started out badly (the room was still not ready at 7:00 p.m., it really ended up very well. We decided to bring in a cot into my daughter's room and cancel this room. I really appreciate one girl's effort (I believe her name was Teria). She never gave up and that means a lot in my book. We will be back!!"

"I paid the extra 8.00 dollars per day and in order to get some of the extra ammenities and some of them were not available. I paid for wireless internet connection in order to work on some business while at the resort and when I went to set up in my room I found out that the section of the resort that I was staying in was not equipped with wireless internet and that I would have to come to the cafe or business section to use it. I was still charged with the 8.00 extra a day. Also my family and I setup for extra events through the hotel for some other sights around the Orlando area and found out that the so called discount price that the hotel said they would give us was the same price at the gate of the attraction. In my opinion false advertisement. All in all we enjoyed ourselves at Disney World. But the next time we go there we will stay at one of the resorts actually next to the attractions."

"I needed a place to get some work done with some time for breaks to ride "Mission Space" and take walks in Downtown Disney. The location coudn't have been better. The Hotel Plaza area is beautiful and is a refreshing contrast to the relentless theming found at most Disney hotels. I usually stay at the Yacht Club or the Swan & Dolphin, if I can get them for $150-$220 per night. This was 90% as good for about 1/2 the price. They were using part of the parking lot as a site for working on sewer pipes. The noise didn't bother me--screaming kids (and adults) would have. The welding noise might have bothered some people. I'll look into staying here again the next time I plan a Disney trip."
John from Oak Park, IL US rated Wyndham Lake Buena Vista 8 out of 10 on May 01, 2004
"We ran into a problem with the parking out front when we checked out. It is very poorly set up. No parking lot attenant was on hand. At check out time it was a mess.(10:30am) A shuttle van backed into our car while we were inside checking out. I would warn anyone that I refer to this hotel about the situation. All the hotel security would tell me was that they were short of help. That is why there wasn't anyone directing traffic."
