ST. PAUL, MN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 13, 2008 -- The World Poker Store, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: WPKS), an international entertainment company, announces changes to its board of directors and management team.

The company is pleased to add Lili Pan to its board of directors. Mr. Pan has been a consultant to the company and pivotal to the expansion into China. Mr. Pan has also been appointed to an executive level position at the company's Chinese subsidiary, Shenzhen WPS Entertainment Development Co. Ltd., where he will focus on expanding operations into additional Chinese cities. Mr. Pan is a native of China, earned a BA degree from Hunan Agricultural University, a MS degree from the University of Minnesota, and a MBA from the University of St. Thomas. Over the last fourteen years Mr. Pan has worked with American businesses to expand their opportunities in China, and has worked on developing sister-city relationships between China and United States cities. Mr. Pan is an Economic Development Advisor to the city of Loudi China, and a former Vice President of the Chinese American Business Association of Minnesota.

Greg Needham, Board Member and Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Needham has been with the company since its inception and has played a crucial role in developing the Bar Poker League and the Player Card system into a scalable international opportunity.

Philip Wood and David Riggs have stepped down from the Board of Directors.
