Andorra is a tiny country in the midst of the Pyrrenées mountains between France and Spain. It attracts millions of tourists, especially from Spain, in both summer and winter.
Gentle slopes make Andorra a particularly attractive ski destination. Grandvalira, which includes the Soldeu-El Tarter area, is the largest ski complex. Other ski resorts are Vallnord / Arcalís and Vallnord / Pal-Arinsal
Hiking in the Pyrenees equipped with a GPS along Andorra's 54 official hiking trails is a rewarding summer activity. Along the trails are dwellings with beds and fireplaces for free use by hikers all year.
Andorra has no airport. It does, however, have three heliports providing commercial helicopter services. The closest international airports are Barcelona and Toulouse. There are direct bus services to both airports as well as train service with bus connections.
The towns of Andorra celebrate yearly feasts and offer numerous festivals and cultural events.
