"Hotel staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, especially Desirae (the night desk manager). However the hotel itself was absolutely awful; old, smoke filled, filthy carpeting, stained furniture in the room, wallpaper peeling off the walls, etc. The hotel did not offer "No Smoking" rooms or "Non-Smoking" floors. The rooms & hallways reeked of cigarette smoke (it was worse than any bar or casino I have ever been in). I was so uncomfortable with the accomodations that I stayed up all night working as I didn't want to sleep in the bed and the sofa had stains on it, so I didn't want to sleep on that either. I had originally booked a room for 2 nights but cancelled the 2nd night, as there was no way I could stay there again. I was in Richmond, VA for business and after my meeting ended that afternoon I drove 2+/hrs back up to the Dulles Airport area, got a room and some much needed sleep. I ended up going over 36 hours with literally no sleep because of the horrible accomodations at "Richmond's Commonwealth Park Suites Hotel."
