"The purpose of my trip was my son's wedding that was being held at the Sheraton on the Waterside in Norfolk, VA. From the moment we checked in, the customer service was non-existent. We asked if we could get an adjoining room--the check in clerk shook her head and said no. Did not make eye contact with us, did not give an explanation, just no. It took FOREVER to check in even tho I made reservations in July 2005. (it is now September). There was no bartender at the bar in the middle of the day; the service in the restaurant was unbelieveably slow. At the wedding itself, the bridesmaids had to stand in the blistering sun. The waiters took the balloons from our reception to use for the next reception in another room. The lighting in the rooms was very poor. There was not enough electrical outlets in the room."
