"Unfortunately i do not recall anything worthy of a compliment. Arriving at night into the parking lot and the entrance into the hotel seem less secure as others. Lighting was dim and trees and shrubbery were not trim back. Check in was absolutely horrible. The clerk couldn't find my reservation and once it was found after approximately 10-15mins she wanted to charge me again as the reservation was prepaid. The room wasn't clean and I have pictures of pubic hairs on the bathroom floor and the furniture was extremely outdated. Now the faint scent throughout the facility at least the first floor, I assume is due to wear and tear (an old building). As I discussed this situation with the clerk she did try to accommodate my request for a refund with another room. Unfortunately that room was just as bad, understanding a refund was not forthcoming I actually packed up and stayed at another location within the immediate vicinity. Returning the day of my departure to receive the checkout receipt the printer wasn't working and I had to wait approximately 10 mins for a receipt. I understand the purpose of Studios & Suites is to provide a clean and safe environment at a cost saving experience but if I may say so, Studios & Suites miss the mark at 2424 Gum Road, Chesapeake Virginia.
