"There were several service problems. At check-in, the shower curtain and bath ledge were badly stained, either with red wine or blood. Staff did come promptly to replace the curtain and clean the bath. We also discovered left over food under the telephone, which was never removed. The second day of our stay, we returned to the room at 5:30 p.m., after leaving at 10 a.m., to discover our room door held open by the security latch, as if a housecleaner had propped it open while leaving to retrieve something. No one returned to close the door, and we have no idea how long it had been open. Fortunately, nothing was missing from the room. In the restaurant, milk was served that was three days past the sell-by date. The front desk clerk at check-out was most unhelpful in responding to our concerns, claiming she had no authority to do so. On the other hand, a supervisor from housekeeping responded helpfully and listened to our concerns. All in all, an impression that the hotel was not properly staffed or supervised over the holiday period."
