"We came in and stayed an extra night because of the weather (4 nights). All was fine except for the router was out in our room and so no internet. Took about 45 min. on the phone with the internet person from who knows where to discover he couldn't correct the problem and to pass it on to someone higher up. We went to eat and came back and the hotel said the router was out for our room. I had a 24 hour run to go do and so, my wife after taking me to my endurance race, came back to the hotel and moved to another room as advised by the staff. After being in the room she realized although it was a non-smoking room there was the smell of smoke in the room and on the sheets. She decided the next morning to move back to the original room because the bed was comfortable. After we returned Sunday afternoon the staff said a guy could come and put in a new router and it would take an hour, but since I had been awake for my endurance run about 30 hours we said forget it because I needed the sleep. Just passing this along as the staff was friendly, but we never had internet access for 3 of the 4 nights. What would have worked was for someone to suggest another room for my wife and go check it out to make sure no smoke so she could move in there. With my endurance run I was focused on getting to that and completing it (which I did covering 78 miles in the time) and was not able to focus on solving the room problem. My wife is a schoolteacher and could have used the internet to do some of her work. Not complaining but letting you know we felt like we paid for the internet and didn't get it. Then, we notice things like the toilet everytime it was flushed making a squealing noise. We've stayed at this hotel many times when I have endurance runs in the area and do plan on staying again, but hopefully without the problems experienced in this 4 night stay."
