The hotel's staff were the source of many compliments by reviewers, who characterized them as friendly, efficient, helpful and accommodating. One patron noted, "The staff was friendly, starting with the gentleman who checked us in and Maria who was our room attendant every day. It continued with the breakfast every morning and the wonderful employees who served it".
Numerous guests were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, spacious, well equipped, well maintained and quiet, with great ocean views. A few travellers did have complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).
