Numerous guests praised the hotel's downtown location. They found it close to public transit, restaurants, shopping, bars, the Allegheny River, Heinz Field, PNC Park and attractions.
The hotel's staff were the source of many compliments by reviewers, who were characterized as friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. One guest remarked, "Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Stephanie, the general manager. She went out of her way and actually repaired two buttons on my coat because it was 10 degrees and it would have taken too long to send it out!".
