We asked about the Lilac Festival and your front desk staff called a taxi for us. It was a cold day and no one bothered to tell us that it didn't open until two hours after we got there. We spent $20.00 and a cold, miserable trip in the rain for nothing. Something that prominent in town should be something your staff is aware of and knows the times and dates, etc. for.
