"Hotel is all outward show, very plush reception but the rooms are old and in need of repair and redecoration."

"Best deal in Mid Town Manhatten; A sure winner."
George from Mesa, AZ US rated Wyndham New Yorker Hotel 10 out of 10 on January 01, 2004
"The location was very good but the rooms felt dirty and old carpets on the floors in all the landings and in the rooms."
Bernard from Meath, IE rated Wyndham New Yorker Hotel 4 out of 10 on December 09, 2003
"I found the hotel very shabby in the halls and dingy. The rooms were very small and not similar to the description on the internet site. There were 14 people in our party and a few of them had to change rooms immediately, as theirs were filthy when they arrived. I also got a non-smoking room when a smoking room was requested and booked. On one day, we had a very large cockroach in the bathroom and it took around 35 minutes for someone to come and tend to it. That is not something I expect to find in my hotel room in New York and obviously speaks volumes about the cleanliness of your hotel. I also asked one day for an urgent message to be put under the door of my room for my friend, as I was out of the hotel and needed to contact her immediately. When I returned, I found that the message had not been left with her and was at the front desk instead, causing some confusion. On the plus side, the location was very good and the 24 diner was a great advantage. Don't think I would ever go back there again though."

"It looks like the hotel management rely on the good location of the hotel & they do nothing to make the guests stay comfitable. The hotel and the rooms are old, dirty, in some places even stinkey."
Avner from Concord, MA US rated Wyndham New Yorker Hotel 2 out of 10 on November 19, 2003
"Room keys only worked periodically. Coffee facilities in the room would have been great. Divergence of quality of staff service levels ranging from offhand to superb."
Mark from Stoke On Trent, GB rated Wyndham New Yorker Hotel 5 out of 10 on October 29, 2003
