The hotel's location was praised by numerous guests, who found it to be close to Times Square, Central Park, the subway, restaurants, LaGuardia Airport and the theatre district.
Many lodgers were pleased with the level of customer service they received, characterizing the staff as efficient, professional, accommodating and helpful. One guest stated, "The staff downstairs were exceptionally friendly and helpful from the door men to the reception staff who helped us with every query and found some good nearby restaurants for us for dinner".
Several reviewers complimented the hotel's accommodations. They described their rooms as well equipped, spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and pillows, great city views and good water pressure. It should be noted, however, that some lodgers had complaints about their rooms (see below).
