Young Woman Alone in NYC feels Safe and Comfortable
"I enjoyed my stay in NYC at the City Club Hotel. It was on a side street close to Times Square, but yet it a good, safe area. I am a young woman and was travelling by myself for mostly business and I felt safe the entire time. The room was small, but it was plenty big for my needs and I was only there for three nights. The beds were great! After a long day of walking around in the city it was nice to come back to a cool room with a feather bed, feather comforter and feather pillows...ahh, so nice!! I didn't have a view of the city. The room had several great perks...the shower was amazing!! I loved how you could turn the water pressure from soft to hard. I turned the news on in the morning and was pleasantly surprised to discover that there are speakers for the TV in the bathroom ceiling...love it!! The iPod docking station was a nice touch as well as the complimentary umbrella to use if needed. The fridge and pantry were stocked with goodies and drinks, for a reasonable price. It was great to receive a copy of the NY Times at my door in the morning. When checking out I discovered that someone was charged a $140 meal at the restaurant to my room, but it was fixed and settled before I even arrived back home. They left me a voicemail telling me it was fixed and apologized for the mix-up and told me to call with any questions. The customer service was top notch! Thank you! The room was dimly lit, it would be nice to have a bit more lighting in the bathroom. Plus, since there isn't an exhaust fan in the bathroom, perhaps you should think of coating the mirror over the sink with anti-fog cream. I use it at home and it works great!"

"Room decor very attractive and modern. One unpleasant surprise was that the newspaper in AM was a tabloid instead of the Times or WSJ, (no choice was offered). There was no sense of attentiveness. Rather a cold atmosphere for a boutique style hotel."
