"My first complaint is that when I called to book a room, I was told that the hotel was full, and that my only option was a double room suite for $220 plus tax. I asked about the special conference rate for the event that I was attending, and was told that I couldn't have any special rate. I then went to the internet, and booked a room just as I had asked your 'in-house' phone person for, and got it for $156.00, in a matter of minutes. Makes me think that your phone people work for commission, and try to 'upsale' everyone that calls. When we arrived, the hotel seemed far from fully booked, with the lack of people in the lobby areas, the large restaurant closed, very few lights on in the windows outside of the hotel, and lack of activity on our particular hallway during the stay.
You should teach your bellhops some soft skills, i.e. 'Manners'. I've never had a rude bellhop, and in the many years that I've traveled, never been told that I can't have access to a cart to take our luggage up to our room ourselves. I had no cash to tip the bellman from my rushed day, and just wanted to use the cart. The bellman asked if he could help, I replied, no thank you, just want to use this cart, and was told "no, that's how I make my living". So I had to make two trips to the room to carry our stuff. I know how a bellhop makes his living, and don't need to be told. I must say I've never had that happen, and for this reason, will never stay at your hotel again.
Your rooms need shower caps, also. Every room that I've ever stayed in have those."
