"I have been staying here at least once a year for the past 4 years. The service has gone down during my two visits this year. Soap was not replaced, coffee was not replaced. This visit my room was not cleaned at all the first day. I left at 11:00am and returned at 5:00pm I told the desk person that the room had not been cleaned. He checked the log and said that housekeeping had noted that the do not disturb sign was on the door. That was true from 8:00am to 11:00am when I left. I specifically remember removing the sign and putting it on the inside of the door. My sister-in-law returned to the hotel with me and also commented that the room should have been cleaned because there was no sign on the door when we arrived. The desk person said that the housekeeper stated that she checked at 2:30pm and the sign was still there. I told him that was not a true statement. He did not seem to believe me. I told him to check with the manager and let me know how they intended to handle it. When I returned that evening he gave me some clean towels. I had to practically negotiate a discount on the room for the inconvenience. Not good service. Upshot is that I cancelled my reservation for the following weekend. Made it for somewhere else and will not return there again. Jacqueline Davais"
