The hotel's location was praised by numerous guests, who described it as downtown, and close to Busch Stadium, the St. Louis Arch, restaurants, the Mississippi River, shopping and highway access. One patron noted, "It is in the heart of downtown St. Louis, and within walking distance of anything a person plans to do in that area".
Many lodgers were pleased with the hotel's accommodations. They described their rooms as clean, quiet, spacious, modern and nicely decorated, with comfortable beds and great views of the St. Louis Arch and Mississippi River. A few guests criticized their lodgings, however (see below).

The Bad
