"We were in Chicago for the charity event - Hustle Up the Hancock. The Hilton was a sponsor of this event. this was the reason our team had elected this hotel. We were given room 717. The room was clean and well decorated. The bed was most comfortable. Unfortunately the cold water faucet is broken. It spins and takes some finagleing to get the water to turn on. The carpet is coming loose and frayed near the bedroom/bathroom entrance. The shower curtain has a "see through" section that allows water to spray all over the bathroom floor creating a slip and fall hazard. It took 5 towels to soak up the water. At dinner, other team members staying at the hotel advised us they asked for, and received, a 2pm check out. We called the front desk, they transferred us to Reservations. We were told it would cost us an additional $75 for a late check out (2pm). In the morning we stopped by the front desk. The desk clerk was more accomodating and allowed us to remain until 2pm at no charge after some minor negotiation. We had to advise her that our other team members were given a 2pm check out. She reviewed the computer system. Next, we wanted to visit a family member in a nearby hospital and do some shopping. We contacted the valet and bell desk. We were advised that we could leave our car until 6pm and that we could store our luggage behind the front desk until departure. Arriving back at the hotel after shopping, the Bell Hop loaded our luggage into the car. When we got home, we were distressed that my companion's roll away luggage was broken. The bottom was completely shattered into tiny pieces as if someone had punted it across a room. All said & done, I doubt I will use that particular Hilton again"

"Staff could not have been nicer. Hotel is busy, good location and the suite concept adds to enjoyment of stay. Rooms are comfortable and the new bedding is exceptional. Restaurant in hotel is very convenient and serves an excellent meal and prices are fair for value. Love the cookies! Double Tree Delivers!"

"The concierge Andrea was great! She went above and beyond helping us with dinner reservations, theatre tickets and general tips about the city. I was not as impressed with the front desk staff who were painfully slow checking us out. We checked out at 6:30 am with no one else around and it still took them 1/2 hour! Very frustrating. Overall, a very nice hotel, great location and good deal."

"It was extremely conveniently located for me and the hotel staff were very friendly. The amenities were great, especially the coffee shop with Krispy Kreme donuts located in the hotel lobby!"
