The hotel's location was praised by many lodgers. They described it as central, and close to the Savannah River, River St., downtown Savannah, shopping, restaurants, the historic district, tours, public transit and the City Market. Many guests commented on the fact that they didn't need their cars due to so much being within walking distance.
Numerous reviewers complimented the staff, characterizing them as friendly, helpful, efficient and professional. One patron noted, "Very friendly staff from check in to departure. Every staff member we encountered had a great attitude".
Several guests were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, spacious and well equipped, with great views of the Savannah River and comfortable beds. A few lodgers had complaints about their rooms, however (see below).
