Excellent location BUT a disappointment overall!
"Customer service and the friendliness of the staff was very good. My concerns is that they describe their hotel as being "Luxurious and Elegant" however, I beg to differ. The room I stayed in was musty and smelled of mold. Even though they stated in their advertisement that the hotel had been recently renovated I couldn't tell, at least not in the room I stayed in for seven nights. The fit and finish just isn't up to par with a hotel that make the statement of being "Luxurious and Elegant"! I stayed in a "common man's" hotel several months earlier--and paid a LOT less per night--that was MUCH cleaner and more "elegant" than Regency Suites. The noise from the streets was unbelievable and I contribute this primarily to the fact that the windows not being updated. Most evenings I had to check to confirm that the window was actually closed because it allowed in so much of the traffic noises. The breakfast was a joke. If you're going to taut your hotel as being "Luxurious and Elegant" you should at least have a HOT breakfast and use REAL dishes instead of the plasticware that was provided most mornings. I attended a course at Georgia Tech and even they served a better breakfast than Regency Suites--incredible! The "fitness room" was so-so but I expected more weightlifting equipment as not everyone uses aerobic-type equipment in their fitness. I observed only one person utilizing the aerobic equipment during the three times I was in there all others had to jockey into position to use the Universal machine and TWO dumbbell free weights. My ultimate disappointment was having to pay $15 per day to park in the garage! I think this should be included in the cost of the stay! If they want to set their hotel apart from others they should either consider this OR lower the price!"
