Many guests praised the hotel's location. They described it as right on the beach, as well as close to public transit, restaurants, the boardwalk, the pier, shopping and bars.
The hotel's value was complimented by numerous reviewers, who described the rates as great, affordable and inexpensive. One patron felt that this hotel provided the best value of all hotels on the Pensacola strip.
Several lodgers were pleased with the hotel's accommodations. They described their rooms as clean, spacious and well equipped, with comfortable beds, beautiful ocean views and good air conditioning. It should be noted, however, that some guests had complaints about their rooms (see below).
The hotel's staff were also praised by several guests, who characterized them as friendly, accommodating and helpful with directions. One reviewer noted, "Friendly/honest staff. My son left his wallet and I received a call from the front desk telling me that housekeeping had found it. The staff went out of their way to make us feel right at home".
