"For $300 per night the room was truly a rip off. For $150 it wouldn't have been acceptable. There is a mold/mildew odor that needs attention, The door in the bathroom was so filthy I didn't want to touch it. The balcony furniture hadn't been cleaned for a very long time. To charge such an outrageous rate for a very mediocre room is shameful."
Sergio from Naples, FL US rated Walt Disney World Swan 2 out of 10 on June 22, 2006
"We loved the convience of the boat transportation. The pool was relaxing and the kids enjoyed the water fall and slide."
Michele from Lakeville, IN US rated Walt Disney World Swan 10 out of 10 on June 20, 2006
"Property appears very old/dated. Room decor is awful-- carpet is worn, bath tile worn down so much it looked dirty, bathtub floor looked dirty from age, furniture is horrible (plastic upholstery) and not well furnished, my room door would not close without pulling it shut (hard to remember to do all the time) -- Really could not believe the condition of the hotel. The lobby is under renovation which made getting in and out very inconvenient. The swimming pool was dirty and smelled like dirty diapers, the restaurant food is not good or creative......On a positive note, they do have good beds and linens."
Linda from Atlanta, GA US rated Walt Disney World Swan 3 out of 10 on June 16, 2006
"Our stay at the Swan was just okay. I've had better experiences at Holiday Inns, though. The hair dryer wasn't hot or strong enough to do my hair, the lighting in the room was incredibly dim, the air conditioner's humidifeier wasn't working that great and the room as well as all of our clothes felt wet. This hotel allowed smoking and there was a smoking smell in the hotel. My family and I splurged to stay here thinking it would be a luxury and it wound up being quite eye-opening as to the way the Swan does business."
Drew from Apopka, FL US rated Walt Disney World Swan 4 out of 10 on June 16, 2006
"They need to realize that not everyone who visits has kids. As a couple, we found very little to do at night, and a limit of "good" restaurants(we did enjoy Shula's). Also the rooms were poorly laid out, and noisy (could hear drilling and pounding at 9 AM). Not what I expected after spending $400. a night."

"Other hotels looked in better condition. Loved the boat ride and location to restaurants. Room service came too early to clean....before 7:30AM and disturbed my one day to sleep in."
Jeffrey from Fort Myers, FL US rated Walt Disney World Swan 5 out of 10 on May 12, 2006
"Extraordinarily high phone rates and poor quality for the price. Housekeeping was also frustratingly pushy about trying to get in to clean on the day of our checkout. We were scheduled for a late checkout (noon) yet we still had the same cleaning lady knock on our door 6 times before 10:30 a.m., even after we told her we had a late checkout."

"The personel were outstanding, but we did have some issues. We made reservationa at the Swan and at check in we were asked to move to the Dolphin. No big deal, but we had already checked our car and the hotel employee said the valet would move the car to the new location. When we got to the room we discovered that this was not true. On check out we had to go to another hotel, with our kids and luggage in tow to get to our car. That was very incovenient. But, as I stated the personel was very friendly."

The staff was always friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make our stay welcome! We'll definetly stay there again!"
Soprana from Morganville, NJ US rated Walt Disney World Swan 9 out of 10 on January 17, 2006

One of our party had not been able to travel in comfort in 20 years, and this vacation she had no problems at all. What a delight"

"There were three problems that prevented me from giving better ratings. 1. the air conditioning system produced a cool and DAMP, not cool and DRY room. 2. I requested extra blankets online. None were found and the bedding provided was less than comfortable. 3. The room service guy answering the phone bordered on just plain rude"

"We just keep coming back to the Swan. It is clean and very convenient to all of Disney's parks. We'll be back."
Ronald from Powder Springs, GA US rated Walt Disney World Swan 9 out of 10 on July 24, 2005
"The first room we were assigned to, smelled of fish from the refrigerator- we requested to move our room and we were given a room that smelled of fresh paint. Once again, we requested a room change (which the hotel staff was very accomodating), however for some reason the room was extremely damp, i.e. the pillows, sheets, chairs, etc were moist the entire 3 day stay. The coffee cafe on the lobby floor was not open at night to accomodate that "late night snack" and when we did want a snack at 10pm or so, rather than order from room service (which we did once), we had to travel to the Dolphin. The Swan cannot come close to the Grand Floridian."
Caroline from Tuxedo, NY US rated Walt Disney World Swan 4 out of 10 on July 13, 2005
"For the amount of money we paid for two nights, $455.00, I feel the rooms should be bigger and have more to offer. There are no mini refrigerators, no balcony, the bathroom was very small the door opened too close to the toilet, the door stuck and the rooms are old. The room was basically like a Holiday Inn except the heavenly bed, big deal!! The rooms are not worth the price. Nice staff, decent food and nice grounds, but still not worth the money."
Naomi from Cape Coral, FL US rated Walt Disney World Swan 4 out of 10 on July 05, 2005
"Was confused by the shuttle bus. We thought there was one from Epcot gates to the hotel. We were tired at the end of the day and didn't want to walk back to the boat. (also thought there was a shuttle bus)"
Mr martina from Wetsmount, QC CA rated Walt Disney World Swan 9 out of 10 on June 19, 2005
"This was not what I expected when booking a Disney Resort Hotel. Twice the room was not made up by 4 PM and we had to call to have housekeeping come. Bathroom cleanliness was not what you would have expected at a Disney property. No vending machines in the hotel to get sodas. No refrigerator in room other than mini bar. No real breakfast restaurant at the Swan. Had to go to the Dolphin for breakfast. Very inconvenient. Would never book at either the Swan or Dolphin and we've been to Disney Resorts over 20 times. Very disappointing in the level of service as well as the size of the room. Carribean Beach had larger rooms with a refrigerator and better service."
Verified Guest from Florham Park, NJ US rated Walt Disney World Swan 4 out of 10 on June 13, 2005
"1. The shower area is starting to show the age of the hotel. 2. Thought there was not enough boats during the prime morning hours to Epcot and MGM"
Mark from Algonquin, IL US rated Walt Disney World Swan 9 out of 10 on May 13, 2005
"Hotel was very nice, and the food was good. It was great being right on the Boardwalk so we could just walk there. My kids loved the pool area. There is a fun slide!"
Verified Guest from Winter Park, FL US rated Walt Disney World Swan 10 out of 10 on April 29, 2005
"We enjoy Epcot and MGM therefore location was excellent. I thought the Disney desk closed too early. When I lost my ticket, the guest services desk at the park was unable to help me and when I got back to the hotel, the desk was closed. Of course after I picked up my reciept in the hotel room, then I was able to get the help I needed. There was a lot of mildew/mold in the vaniety area and the mirror in the bathroom had water damage that could have been easiely taken care of. There was one concierege person who was quite unfriendly, I didn't get her name, yet there was another one who went above and beyond. She was very nice. When we had to reregister, and the hotel had more available room, I asked for a "free upgrade" (lots of hotels do this) the women behind the counter LAUGHED at me. That was quite embarrassing. I have done this before on cruises and at other hotels and NEVER been given that response. Not being able to use the room key as a charge card and a hopper pass, is very inconvient. Also at other disney properties, when you buy something, you can have is sent to you hotel. This would be a nice addition for the Swan too. The beds and bedding were very nice."
Tim from Minneapolis, MN US rated Walt Disney World Swan 3 out of 10 on April 09, 2005

"the hotel is well maintained, well run, rooms clean, very comfortable beds, with down duvets etc.. room has very dim lighting which can be a bit of a problem, as room appears to be very dark. on demand movies, very expensive for the kids to watch, and very easy for them to activate themselves, as well as video games in room, but none of it free of charge. Buses run frequently to all attractions, which is a pleasure, as you never have to use your own car, and look for parking etc. Breakfasts were okay, and on the whole, i have no complaints about this hotel, and would recommend it."
Lauren from Boca Raton, FL US rated Walt Disney World Swan 7 out of 10 on December 18, 2004
"The room smelled like deodorizer. We waited to check into our room until 5:00 p.m. after driving all day and hoped to check in by 3:00 p.m."

Gail from Granite Falls, NC US rated Walt Disney World Swan 8 out of 10 on May 31, 2004
"The decor was awful! I realize it's part of the whole Disney thing but it could have been much better. Tacky, too busy and didn't fit the Starwood amenities of a great comforter on the bed, a great shower head and high-speed connections in the room. It was a contradiction in terms of style and amenities. UGLY!!!!!!!"

"Misleading literature about transportation to Magic Kingdom and restaurants on site, long wait for transport to hotel from park, dirty room:mildew, bugs, smell, carpet, outragious price for room, hallways and overall hotel needs complete reburbishment. We have traveled extensively throughout the world and have stayed at hotels that far excede the quality and service found at this hotel for half the price."
